Grand Cypress was a very nice resort. It is a golf and spa resort. The room was a large, clean and a great view of one of the three golf courses designed by Jack Nicklaus. There were several lakes with canoes and paddle boats to ride, with a beach front. The main pool is heated year round, it had a giant water slide, wooden bridge to walk over, caves and caverns to swim through, with a connecting hot tub and a poolside restaurant. Jogging trails, walking trails and bike trails. There several restaurants on the grounds, we ate at the White Horse Bar and Grill. Not sure why they named it that, but there was a statue of a white horse next to our table. I had the special Prime Rib, which was marinated for 10hrs, said the waiter and Donna had the Kobe burger, which she loved. There were free shuttles to all theme parks, if requested, and room service was 24hrs.

Con: Club King Suite room did not have a fridge, it had a pay extra wet bar though. Other rooms were either 1 Bedroom or 2 Bedroom, which had full kitchens, we did not stay in one of those, this time.

Great place, highly recommended. Grand Cypress.

My Golden Lessons: 100-Plus Ways to Improve Your Shots, Lower Your Scores and Enjoy Golf Much, Much MoreMy Golden Lessons: 100-Plus Ways to Improve Your Shots, Lower Your Scores and Enjoy Golf Much, Much MoreHe made his first cut in a professional major championship in the 1958 U.S. Open, at age eighteen. Forty years later, he had his most recent top-10 finish in a major at the Masters. In between, he won eighteen professional majors, a hundred tournaments worldwide, and provided countless thrills along the road to being named "Golfer of the Century" by his peers and by publications from America to Antarctica.

In his unprecedented run at the top of the game, Jack Nicklaus has seen the importance of constant learning and constant refinement. Your game at age sixty cannot be the same as your game at age twenty; where you were once able to overpower the golf course, with time and wisdom you discover new ways to approach the challenges of the game that depend less on physical ability and more on mental agility. Along the way, you learn which fundamentals will always put you in good stead, and you see what advice has stood the test of time.

In My Golden Lessons, the greatest golfer of them all takes the best from his many years of playing, practicing, and studying the game, and distills it into over 120 pieces of priceless instruction. Drawn from his immensely popular columns in Golf Digest and Golf Magazine, the topics cover the full spectrum of the game, from choosing the right equipment, on through the fundamentals of stance, grip, and setup, to the pursuit of power and the subtleties of the short game and putting. These techniques helped Nicklaus set the marks that future generations will strive to match, but it was his mastery of the mental side of golf that truly set him apart from his peers and his predecessors -- and he shares his advice on the mind game as well. In addition, the book presents a beautifully drawn sequence of the Nicklaus swing at its peak, alongside advice tailored to the needs of the better players who want to be better still.

My Golden Lessons is a book that took a lifetime to prepare, but one that will improve your game from the first few minutes it spends in your hands. These are the techniques that made Jack Nicklaus the golfer he is, and his clear, bite-sized pointers will show you the path to hitting better shots, shooting lower scores, and enjoying the game more every time you play.

Hit Down Dammit! (The Key to Golf)Hit Down Dammit! (The Key to Golf)Most golfers have difficulty with the concept of hitting down at the ball to make it fly. Surprisingly, a great many players surveyed did not even know you need to hit down to get the ball up in the air.

Hit Down Dammit! concisely explains the concept - and the technique - of hitting down at the golf ball for proper trajectory, increased backspin, much improved distance, proper divot taking, and best of all: consistent shotmaking.

If you are inadvertently - or intentionally - hitting up at the ball, Hit Down Dammit! is for you. (Also available as DVD series, and MP3 download, all on Amazon.)

If you are a seasoned amateur who has inexplicably “plateaud” - just cannot seem to get to the next level despite lessons and/or acquiring a library of books and videos - Hit Down Dammit! is for you.

Symptoms of hitting up include (but are not limited to):

- topping the ball
- skulling the ball
- pushing the ball
- slicing the ball
- poor distance
- difficulty getting off back foot
- poor backspin
- no divot
- fat divots
- chunking the ball
- thin/fat chip shots
- roofing the ball with your driver
- inability to hit long irons and/or fairway woods
- good shots followed immediately by poor shots

Hitting down at the golf ball is not a new concept, but it is a hitherto poorly explained (or completely avoided) concept. All pros agree on the need to hit down, so there is no debate there. Even Tiger Woods, in his 306 page “How I Play Golf”, states the need to hit down at the ball – but does not explain how. Hit Down Dammit! does.

Learn to hit down, watch the ball go up, and your scores go down.
