Grand Cypress was a very nice resort. It is a golf and spa resort. The room was a large, clean and a great view of one of the three golf courses designed by Jack Nicklaus. There were several lakes with canoes and paddle boats to ride, with a beach front. The main pool is heated year round, it had a giant water slide, wooden bridge to walk over, caves and caverns to swim through, with a connecting hot tub and a poolside restaurant. Jogging trails, walking trails and bike trails. There several restaurants on the grounds, we ate at the White Horse Bar and Grill. Not sure why they named it that, but there was a statue of a white horse next to our table. I had the special Prime Rib, which was marinated for 10hrs, said the waiter and Donna had the Kobe burger, which she loved. There were free shuttles to all theme parks, if requested, and room service was 24hrs.

Con: Club King Suite room did not have a fridge, it had a pay extra wet bar though. Other rooms were either 1 Bedroom or 2 Bedroom, which had full kitchens, we did not stay in one of those, this time.

Great place, highly recommended. Grand Cypress.

The Wicked Game : Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods, and the Business of Modern GolfThe Wicked Game : Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods, and the Business of Modern GolfGolf is sometimes referred to as "the wicked game" because it is fiendishly difficult to play well. Yet in the parlance of the Tiger Woods generation, it's also a wickedly good game -- rich, glamorous, and more popular than ever.

When we think about golf -- as it is played at its highest level -- we think of three names: Tiger Woods, the most famous sports figure in the world today, Arnold Palmer, the father of modern golf, and Jack Nicklaus, the game's greatest champion. In this penetrating, forty-year history of men's professional golf, acclaimed author Howard Sounes tells the story of the modern game through the lives of its greatest icons. With unprecedented access to players and their closest associates, Sounes reveals the personal lives, rivalries, wealth, and business dealings of these remarkable men, as well as the murky history of a game that has been marred by racism and sex discrimination. Among the many revelations, the complete and true story of Tiger Woods and his family background is untangled, uncovering surprising new details that inspire the golfer's father to exclaim, "Hell, you taught me some things about my life I never knew about!" Earl Woods and other members of Tiger Woods's family, his friends, girlfriends, caddies, coaches, and business associates were among the 150 people interviewed over two years of research. Others included Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus, fellow champions such as Ernie Els, Gary Player, Tony Jacklin, and Tom Watson, and golf moguls such as Mark H. McCormack, billionaire founder of the sports agency IMG.

The Wicked Game is a compelling story of talent, fame, wealth, and power. Entertaining for dedicated golfers, and accessible to those who only follow the game on television, this may be the most original and exciting sports book of the year.

FINALLY: THE GOLF SWING'S SIMPLE SECRET - A revolutionary method proved for the weekend golfer to significantly improve distance and accuracy from day one (1)FINALLY: THE GOLF SWING'S SIMPLE SECRET - A revolutionary method proved for the weekend golfer to significantly improve distance and accuracy from day one (1)Have you ever wondered why the average handicap on the USGA has barely improved in the last 20 years? The answer is very simple:

a) The Golf Swing is very difficult to understand and to perform.

b) The average weekend golfer would love to improve but doesn´t have the time or the interest to spend long hours practicing.

After studying the golf swing for over 25 years, JF Tamayo has developed a revolutionary method proved for the weekend golfer of any level to significantly improve distance and accuracy from day one, based on three main principles:

1) FOCUS ON CHANGES THAT MOST POSITIVELY AFFECT RESULTS: Opposite to the traditional methods, this book will only ask you to make changes in the most relevant parts of the swing needed to hit solid and consistent shots: the backswing and the transition between the backswing and the downswing.

2) LEARN HOW TO DEVELOP AN EASY, REPEATABLE AND SOLID BACKSWING: One of the biggest breakthroughs of the method was the development of a unique and much easier way to consistently make a solidly sound backswing that will look similar to the new Tiger Wood´s one plane backswing but much simpler to learn, to do and to repeat.

3) LEARN HOW TO CREATE LAG: Being able to increase lag during the downswing is one of the major differences between the amateur's golf swing versus a professional's and probably one of the most misunderstood concepts of golf. In this book you will easily learn how to lag the club like the pros, dramatically improving your clubhead speed, ball striking ability and distance.

This incredible and simple method will instantly take your game to a higher level while you will be helping others since 50% of the profits obtained from this project will be donated to charity.

Visiting Small-Town FloridaVisiting Small-Town Florida

This new edition of Bruce Hunt’s popular guide reveals the real, old-time Florida still to be found on the back roads of the Sunshine state in little towns that lure you in with their quaintness and keep you there for a spell with their friendly occupants. The towns featured all have a population of less than 10,000. The author revisited all the towns in the book for this update. He chatted with the inhabitants to get the inside story on how things have changed—and how they haven’t. He introduces each town’s history, museums, galleries, antiques shops, local eateries, and anything else he could find, including fishing holes and unusual and endearing local characters. This travelogue and guidebook lets you experience the flavor of Florida’s back-road burgs and provides directions, addresses, phone numbers, and websites. Illustrated with the author’s photographs. Includes maps.
